Gabriel Dubreuil
We are thrilled to have Gabriel as the Executive Director of the NSCE since 2021. Gabriel has deep roots in our organization, having played and toured with the group from 2007-2013. Equally at home in a wide array of musical genres, Gabriel is an outstanding violinist who easily moves between the traditional sounds of Québécois and Celtic, to klezmer, classical, jazz - and beyond. Gabriel’s musical path is as varied as it is rich. He wears many hats and is a touring bandleader in the folk music world, a musical sideman, a concert organizer and promoter and a passionate educator. Gabriel’s strong grounding in jazz, composition, arranging and production have grown out of his studies at the Berklee College of Music where he earned a Bachelors of Music in 2016. Gabriel is also the co-founder of Vancouver’s Early Spirit whose second album ‘Hollow Tree’ was released in 2022.
