How to Audition

Audition material can be found on our "About Our Ensembles" page.
  • Come to our Open House

In May, we host an open house for prospective players and their families. This is an interactive workshop where your child will learn a new tune from current NSCE students while parents attend an info session about our programs. Auditions for our Strings & Things novice programs are available on the spot, or can be arranged for a later date. We wrap up the evening with a fun and casual performance of what we've learned!
Where: Upper Lynn Elementary, North Vancouver

When: 6:30 - 8:00, Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 (Please arrive on time so your child has the chance to participate fully)

    What to bring: Your instrument!
  • Visit a Rehearsal

Interested young musicians are welcome to attend a rehearsal at any time. This is a great way to see what we're all about! An audition can be arranged on the same day, or for a later date.

  • Testimonials
"In addition to performing at a number of our special events each year, the youth of the Ensemble has also worked with the Silver Harbour Choir to present intergenerational concerts to the community … a musical delight for the audience and an enlightening experience for both the youth and seniors involved, as they shared their love of music across the generations. The young people of the Celtic Ensemble are always inspiring and heartwarming in their musical talent and generosity of spirit."
