Senior Ensemble Winter Retreat 2023

Registration

  • The Senior's Ensemble annual Winter Retreat is coming up soon Jan 6 - 8 at Camp Capilano in North Vancouver.
    Please register here (link)
    Cost is $145/musician

Note all retreats are run on a cost-recovery basis.
For reference, our Sept retreat at Loon Lake cost $255. Our Sep 2020 retreat (no overnight due to Covid) was $150, our Jan 2018 retreat fee was $175. You can see we are making every effort to keep the fees down as much as possible this winter.

However, this is because we are trying a different model for food. Instead of a few people purchasing and preparing food for everyone (and these costs being shared by all), we are hoping families can sign up to bring food that can be easily reheated. Sign up here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1smNYsGM-Q8VQj8b8BItrk8IV9SUBmwO39LVGYsIH9x0/edit?usp=sharing

We are hoping this approach reduces our volunteer requirements (and the burden on a small number of individuals to make meals at the Camp kitchen) but means more meal costs are borne by those families who sign up.
If we don't get enough people to sign up, we will need to purchase more food for the group, and those costs will be shared.

Feedback on all of this is welcome - email Rua at ruaread@gmail.com
